New Beginners FAQ
Do I need a partner?
You don’t need to bring a partner, as we will make sure that everyone changes partners so that each person gets the chance to dance with a partner during the class.
However, there is a discount if you do bring someone to dance with.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code for our classes. Wear something that you feel comfortable in, that doesn’t restrict your movement too much.
What shoes are suitable?
Men should wear comfortable flat shoes with a smooth sole. Ladies should wear comfortable flat or low-heeled shoes, with a smooth sole. We advise against wearing trainers as these can stick to the floor and restrict movement.
As you progress with your dancing, you may wish to buy Ballroom or Latin shoes: please come and talk to us if you would like to do this.
Do I need to enrol?
Enrolment takes place on the first night of a new course. Please contact us to reserve your place in advance, or you can turn up on the first night and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
